What's Included

What is the best time to visit Europe?
Many people like to visit Europe in the summer when the weather tends to be warmer and drier and there is more daylight. However, prices are lower in the autumn, winter, and spring — airfares cost less and popular attractions are less crowded. Winter travel has its own delights: Christmas markets have been growing in popularity in Ireland and Britain, and holiday decorations make our destinations sparkle. If you'd like to see the Northern Lights in Iceland, late fall to early spring is the ideal time.
How can I book my Turas Ireland vacation?
You can easily check dates, prices, and book by contacting us directly at [email protected] or calling us at 706-450-8687. You can also reach out to your local travel agent. We accept most major credit cards as well as debit cards. All payment details are entered on a secure page and transmitted over Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). CVV2/CVC2 verification is required on all card transactions.
What is included with the price of the tour shown online?
The price shown is per person based on two guests sharing a room. Pricing for solo travellers is available upon request. Our All-Inclusive Advantage includes great hotel accommodations, full breakfast every day, most dinners, some lunches, special evening entertainment, pre-paid admission fees to attractions, and the services of an expert Tour Director. Airfare, travel protection, and pre/post-nights are not included.
Are flights included in the price of the tour?
Airfare is not included in the tour price shown online, but can be arranged separately. Please contact us at [email protected] or call 706-450-8687 and we'll be happy to assist.
Can I book extra hotel nights before or after my tour?
Absolutely — we encourage it! Extra nights give you time to settle in, explore more of your destination, and provide a buffer for unexpected travel delays. Get in touch and we'll be happy to assist with arrangements.

Payment

What type of deposit do I need to put down to reserve my trip?
A non-refundable deposit of $250 per person is required for all guided coach vacation packages, walking & hiking tours, and self-drive vacations. Deposits are required within 5 days of making the reservation or the quote will automatically expire. Certain exclusive promotions may require higher deposits or payment in full.
When is final payment due?
Full payment must be made no later than 70 days prior to the departure date for vacation packages, self-drive trips, and private driver vacations. If payment is not received as scheduled, the reservation will automatically cancel and the land deposit will be forfeited. Final payment terms may vary for custom group tours.
What if I have to cancel or change my vacation?
Turas Ireland must be notified of any changes or cancellations by phone or email at [email protected] prior to your tour departure. The minimum cancellation penalty is the deposit amount. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that notification of cancellation is received by us on the date of receipt.

Special Tour Designations

What is a small group departure?
Small groups provide all the wonderful features of our regular guided vacations, with one key difference: we limit the trip to 26 guests. We use the same large luxury coach with panoramic views, the same expertly designed itineraries, and the same insider access — just with fewer people. Our Walking & Hiking tours of Ireland are always limited to 16 guests and use smaller vehicles perfectly suited for exploring scenic trails and landscapes.
What is a Tattoo departure?
The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a spectacular pageant of musicians and performers held each August against the dramatic backdrop of the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade. All tours that include an Edinburgh hotel stay during Tattoo season include tickets for reserved seating at this world-famous event.

Trip Protection

Should I consider travel protection?
We strongly recommend guests purchase travel protection prior to their trip to safeguard their travel investment and well-being while on vacation. You can include travel protection with your booking or purchase insurance independently. Any independently purchased insurance should cover Trip Interruption, Travel Delay, Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, and Medical Expenses.
Can I purchase travel protection through Turas Ireland?
Yes. A Travel Protection Plan (offered through Trip Mate to U.S. guests) can be added during the booking process. Plan coverage becomes effective upon receipt of the plan cost, which is required within 14 days of your trip deposit. Please contact us at [email protected] for full details.
What does the Travel Protection plan cover?
The plan allows you to cancel your trip up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure for a specified reason for cash reimbursement, or up to 24 hours before departure for any reason not otherwise specified for reimbursement in the form of travel vouchers (Part A). The plan also protects you and your belongings while on your trip (Part B). Contact us for full plan details.
Is there a different travel protection plan for groups?
Yes, a custom insurance plan is available for groups of 10 or more. Please contact us at [email protected] or call 706-450-8687 and our team will provide full details tailored to your group.

Is tipping included?

Tipping is not included but is warmly appreciated. We recommend presenting tips in an envelope at the end of your trip, payable in local currency. Suggested amounts vary depending on whether you are travelling on a standard coach, small group or private tour.

What are the coaches like?

Our coaches feature oversized windows, reclining seats, overhead storage, USB charging ports and free Wi-Fi. Seats are assigned and rotate daily so every passenger gets time at the front.

What can I bring on the coach?

One piece of luggage per person is stored in the coach compartment. You may bring a small bag or daypack on board with you for essentials during the journey.

Are there restrooms on the coaches?

Most coaches have an emergency restroom, though it cannot be used while the coach is in motion. Comfort stops are made every two hours or less throughout the day.

Are the tours handicap accessible?

Coaches are not fully handicap accessible — passengers must be able to board and rotate seats unaided. Lightweight collapsible wheelchairs are permitted in the luggage compartment. Please advise us at the time of booking and travel with a companion who can assist.

Is a coach tour suitable for a honeymoon?

Many couples choose a guided tour for their honeymoon — the planning is done for you and the group atmosphere adds to the experience. For something more private, a self-drive or private driver tour may be a better fit.
